Original D3thPile Reworked TShirt (Screenprint and stitching)
Original D3thPile Reworked TShirt (Screenprint and stitching)
This is a D3thPile original, reworked from a second hand T shirt.
I use a combination of screen printing and freehand sewing machine drawing to treat shirts as a surface for drawing. The process is intentionally direct and physical. The shirt carries its previous life into the new work.
This piece was originally an eagle T shirt. Parts of the original screen print are still visible near the top, and I chose to leave them as part of the composition. Over that, I screen printed my own imagery and drew into the fabric with the sewing machine.
The shirt is one of a kind.
Please note that this is a second hand garment. Minor signs of wear are part of the material and the concept. I like working with older shirts because their history becomes embedded in the finished piece.
Made and sold through my studio and shop in Žižkov, Prague, where I work across clothing, painting, and objects under the name Dead Shirt Society.
